Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner with an active and unrestricted NC State license and additional state licenses who enjoys diagnosing and treating all health conditions and who is passionate about raising the standard of healthcare for everyone. You will care for patients, maintaining accurate and current patient records, and working collaboratively with our provider and support teams. Currently unable to consider candidates residing in the following states: AL, GA, MS, MO, OK, SC, IN, or TNResponsibilities:Function autonomously to perform age-appropriate history and virtual examinations, evaluate, diagnose, recommend treatment plan and document findings andDeliver high-quality patient care while maintaining safetyDocument medical information of patients and review patient history at each visitRequest consultation or referral with other health care providersCounsel and educate patientsOrder and interpret diagnostic testsEvaluate pediatric and adult patients for both acute, chronic and mental health conditionsMaintain knowledge of current medical research and trendsProvide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test resultsSchedule flexibility to include evenings and weekendsRequired Qualifications:Current and active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in North CarolinaBoard certified - Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCCMulti-state licensureLicensed Nurse Practitioner who also maintains an active RN licenseObtain both RN and NP licensure in additional statesGraduate of an accredited school of nursingGraduate of Master's Degree level accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program3+ years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care (preferred) or urgent care requiredExperience/Comfortable with providing care for all ages, newborn to adult populationsFunction within an integrated medical practiceOutstanding clinical expertiseDemonstrate flexibilityShift and Scheduling Obligations:32 hours per week/64 hours per pay periodWeekly shifts must include 8 evening hours scheduled between 5p-11p in clinician's time zoneEvery other weekend, both Saturday AND Sunday shifts; 8 hours per day, scheduled between 7am-11pm in the clinician's time zone. Rotating day/evening shifts3 holiday shifts required per calendar yearPhysical/Cognitive Requirements:Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location (virtually).Remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required.Work with leadership, employees, and members.The responsibilities and responsibilities in this job description are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and will be updated and may be amended in the light of changing circumstances or needs.
