Urgently Hiring Behavioral Classroom Aide-weekly pay!

The Behavioral Classroom Aide works with students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department or supervising designee. They may also assist students with personal, physical mobility, and therapeutic care needs, as directed by rehabilitation health practitioners, social workers, or other healthcare professionals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Instructional Support:
+ Follow IEP objectives in math, reading, speech, and independent skills.
+ Facilitate teacher-directed learning activities, including lesson plans, worksheets, and social games.
+ Classroom Assistance:
+ Assist students in general education classes.
+ Prepare classroom materials, maintain a clean learning environment, and perform clerical duties.
+ Behavioral Support:
+ Manage behavioral deficits and excesses, one-on-one or in a general classroom setting.
+ Implement behavior management techniques under professional direction.
+ Student Care:
+ Assist with personal care tasks like toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene.
+ Support students during recess, lunch periods, and community experiences.
+ Collaboration:
+ Communicate pertinent information to teachers.
+ Assist in activities of prescribed programs from PT, OT, and SLP professionals.
+ Adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements regarding all student-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
+ High school diploma required.
+ Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
+ Completion of Amergis' Competency program if applicable.
+ Current CPR certification, if applicable.
+ TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, if applicable.
+ Current Health certificate (as per state regulation).
+ Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
+ Successful completion of new hire training.
+ Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
+ Strong communication skills; proficiency in English.
+ Computer proficiency required.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
