About us

Cooper University Hospital is a 635-bed teaching hospital.  We are the only tertiary care center and the first Advanced Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Southern New Jersey.  We employ more than 900 physicians and 325 trainees in all medical and surgical specialties.  Cooper University Hospital has its own on-campus medical school, the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.  The Cooper Health System maintains multiple partnerships with local and national institutions, including the MD Anderson Cancer Center.


Short Description

The Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Division in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cooper Health University is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained Urogynecologist for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.

The successful candidate will:

Have completed a fellowship program in Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery; achieved or eligible for certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and subspecialty certificate in Urogynecology, and have or be eligible for an unrestricted New Jersey Medical License; Fully support the academic, clinical, and educational missions of our program including creating scholarly work, improving quality metrics, and creating a positive learning environment (additional experience in basic science research will be regarded as a significant asset);     Display the passion, communication, and interpersonal skills required to build an active clinical practice, develop areas of productive scholarship, and recruit additional faculty;Have a level of academic achievement to warrant appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University; andSignificantly influence the direction of our program, and join like-minded faculty committed to our mission of being at the cutting edge of Urogynecology!

Education Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited institution
Active medical license
Innovative spirit in the clinical setting, superior teamwork with interdisciplinary collaborative approach, desire to work with underserved populations
