Responsibilities The Urologist Physician Assistant position is responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases or disorders of the genitourinary (GU) tract, assisting at surgery for urological disease or disorders for patients of the Garnet Health Doctors, and is responsible for care and treatment for patients in our clinics, hospitals, and facilities. The Urologic Physician Assistant works with an interdisciplinary team of primary caregivers and administrative support staff to perform duties while displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of the Garnet Health Doctors, supporting our mission, vision, and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $121,992 through $137,917 annually. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity). Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: P.A. degree from an accredited school with Urologic training. Board certification or eligibility within 120 days of completing training. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years of post graduate experience POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Current Physician Assistant Licensure in New York State Graduate of an Accredited P.A. Program Current BLS Certification required Current ACLS Certification preferred Board Certification or Current Board Eligibility for P.A. within 120 months of end of training DEA registration valid and unrestricted Physical Requirements: Stands, walks, sits intermittently throughout the day. Lifts, pushes, pulls light to heavy weights as required. Working Conditions: Work is primarily indoors with exposure to various nursing unit and/or patient care elements. Travel to outside facilities is required.
