US Benefits Analyst
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Our North America Compensation and Benefits team is looking for an Analyst to support our Health & Welfare benefit programs. The right person thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a self-starter, detail oriented, works effectively with internal and external contacts and has a passion for combining quantitative analytics and client service. The US Benefits Analyst will be responsible for analyzing healthcare data and supporting the administration of numerous Health & Welfare benefit plans including medical, dental and vision insurance, life & disability programs and more, serving nearly 10,000 employees. They will be an integral part of the team conducting plan reviews at the individual and group level.


YOU'RE GOOD AT
Supporting US Health & Welfare plansAnalyzing trends in benefit plan utilization and creating reports and dashboards for tracking spend across all programsActing as main point of contact with carrier to collect data and analyze findingsMastering use of benefit administration system including configuration, enrollment and reportingManaging weekly vendor eligibility files, vendor error reports and payroll deduction filesPerforming routine enrollment and data audits and reconciliationsSupporting annual Affordable Care Act reporting requirements [added return here, excited about this part of role!]Participating in ongoing administration of benefit plans, including reconciliations and responding to ongoing employee and HR requestsProviding administrative support to the US Benefits team, coordinating vendor meetings, ensuring technical assistance available as neededTeaming with HR, Payroll and Finance colleagues
Communicating effectively with local offices and employees about Health & Welfare benefits Answering employee questions sent to a shared inbox with efficiency and accuracyWorking closely with external vendors to resolve complex employee benefit issues, including claims inquiries, account access, and enrollment supportCreating written communication to be distributed to all staff about plan changes, program reminders and compliance notificationsDeveloping materials and conducting training for local HR staff and employees to ensure they are using benefits appropriately and taking advantage of offeringsEnsuring plan materials are up to date on intranet and other internal sites

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
BA/BS degree required2 years of financial analysis experience preferred with a strong interest in compensation and benefitsFamiliarity with benefit plan design a plusStrong skills in Excel, Alteryx and Tableau (preferred)The ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced, global, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment, keeping with BCG’s values and cultureAn aptitude for managing and maintaining large sets of data; using data to generate insightsMaturity and seasoning that engenders respect and trust from others, sound judgment, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative styleClear and effective written and verbal communication skills; able to adapt for varied audiencesProven analytical capabilities; a quick study; a bright professional with a can-do attitude, a creative solution seeker and a readiness to try new approaches; decisive, pragmatic, and reason-mindedComfort working in the details and understanding the big picture; able to consider the ramifications of decisions on various constituenciesStrong organization skills and composure: ability to handle competing priorities and to work effectively in a challenging fast paced environmentExercises judgment in managing confidential/sensitive information; trustworthyUnderstanding of BCG policies, practices, structure and how decisions are madeCapacity to prioritize across multiple issues and to respond quickly with an appropriate sense of urgency
YOU'LL WORK WITH

The North America (NAMR) HR Network is comprised of HR Generalist teams and key Centers of Excellence including HR Risk and Compliance, US Benefits and Compensation, and NAMR BST Talent Acquisition. As a member of the NAMR HR team, you will partner with local and regional HR teams, subject matter experts, and external vendors to develop programs and policies to attract and retain top talent at BCG.
