Job Overview: This pharmaceutical sales role offers the opportunity for career growth, impactful work, and leadership in driving sales strategies and customer engagement in the healthcare sector. The position requires building strong relationships with healthcare providers, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored value propositions for a variety of pharmaceutical and vaccine products. Responsibilities span managing relationships with specialized healthcare professionals, hospitals, public health providers, and payer stakeholders, with a focus on compliance and collaboration across various business units. Key Responsibilities: Customer Engagement & Sales Strategy: - Provide expert knowledge in product offerings and healthcare solutions, including biologics, specialty products, and vaccines, to healthcare professionals and key decision-makers. - Engage clinical and non-clinical stakeholders (e.g., physicians, nurses, PAs, business managers) within primary care groups, hospitals, and public health organizations to understand their unique needs and tailor GSK’s value propositions accordingly. - Develop and execute business strategies to maximize sales and ensure access to GSK products across customer accounts. - Maintain compliance with industry guidelines and company values while navigating the reimbursement and distribution landscape for healthcare products. Relationship & Account Management: - Own and manage relationships with mid- to large-sized healthcare provider groups, independent hospitals, and public health organizations (e.g., FQHCs, local health departments). - Build and maintain cross-functional partnerships with internal teams (e.g., marketing, market access, medical, payer relations) to ensure seamless service and communication. - Conduct regular business reviews with top accounts, presenting performance diagnostics, and exploring additional value-added options. Consultative Approach: - Act as a consultative resource for customers, addressing both clinical and business-related concerns to enhance customer engagement and product positioning. - Customize product education programs and lead in-services for healthcare providers to stay updated on product innovations and therapeutic advancements. Leadership & Collaboration: - Provide lateral leadership within matrix teams to coordinate pull-through initiatives and deliver business growth, especially in complex, dynamic healthcare environments. - Lead strategic account planning efforts, focusing on business improvement, customer engagement principles, and competitive product strategies. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree. - 4+ years of pharmaceutical sales or medical device sales experience. - Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 30%, depending on the territory. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with biologics, vaccines, or specialty pharmaceutical sales, particularly within Buy & Bill or Specialty pharmacy models. - Expertise in payer reimbursement, contracting, and working with large healthcare provider groups and public health systems. - Demonstrated success in strategic account management, with the ability to navigate complex decision-making environments. - Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills in both live and virtual settings. - Knowledge of healthcare systems, pharmaceutical contracting, and market access strategies.
