Real responsibility, right away
As a summer analyst within the US Consumer Bank business, you’ll join the team responsible for delivering results for customers and our co-branded credit card partners. Our summer analyst roles are placed throughout our business areas such as Credit and Data Analytics, Marketing, Partnerships, Product Office, or Business Development in order to provide you with real-world experience in one of our key business areas.
Consumer Banking at Barclays
Barclays US Consumer Bank is one of the fastest-growing top 10 credit card issuers and online banks in the United States. We create customized, co-branded credit card programs for some of the country's most successful travel, entertainment, retail, and affinity institutions. We enable clients and consumers to make payments and spend with credit cards. Our business powers merchants to take payments, manage their own spend and provide point of sale finance to their customers. We do all of this by creating innovative solutions that meet the ever-evolving needs of our clients and the digital world.
Who we're looking for
To be considered for this program, you must be pursuing an undergraduate degree with anticipated completion between December 2025- June 2026 - in any discipline.
Ideally, you would also have a GPA of 3.2 or above. You'll have a keen interest in finance and business. We value resourcefulness, teamwork, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirt, all of which might be showcased through your involvement in extracurricular activities.
Working in Wilmington
The Wilmington campus boasts a recently renovated office space featuring a cafe, coffee bar, wellness breakout spaces, and more. The campus is located along the historic Wilmington Riverfront where a glance out our windows reveals a scenic look at the Christina River and a growing riverfront community of luxury apartments, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away, making travel from New York and Washington, DC fast and convenient.

Purpose of the role
To participate in the day-to-day activities of the Barclaycard payments division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.
Accountabilities
Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for the Barclaycard payments division.Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.Participation in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for the Barclaycard payments division.Management of client relationships and provision of customer service support to clients and customers, under steadily decreasing supervision, responding to questions about products and services, processing of transactions,.Management of the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support in decision making for the Barclaycard payments division.Training and mentoring of junior colleagues.Analyst Expectations
