US Grants Specialist
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a US Grants Specialist. The U.S. Grants office provides management services for non-federal grant programs delivered to local Habitat offices. The US Grants Specialist will manage a portfolio of grants and programs through HFHI’s corporate and foundational partnerships.

This position will be remotely based within the US.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer grant management process with a portfolio of grants to meet the goals and requirements associated with each specific award/funding opportunity. —60%
- Maintain ongoing dialogue and updates with participating HFH U.S. and Canadian affiliates (sub-awardees), to ensure impeccable coordination of deliverables, media/communications, fund disbursement, etc., and maximize the effectiveness of the partnership for both grantors and grantees. —20%
- Work closely with donors and HFHI personnel to determine affiliate selection for participation in funding opportunities. —5%
- Assist Senior Specialist, US Grants, in coordinating sponsor/employee participation with Habitat affiliates as required. —5%
- Assist Senior Specialist, US Grants, in ensuring grant management is executed in accordance with the affiliate funding agreement. —5%
- Prepare and maintain reports as required. —5%

Key Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 – 5 years of grant management experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional relationship management skills.
- Detailed-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Experience in project management.
- Must have strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs.

Preferred:

- Experience with Salesforce and/or BBCRM software.
- Knowledge and experience with grant funding programs.
- Non-profit experience.
- Event planning and marketing experience.
- Background in accounting/finance.
- Understanding/knowledge of Habitat for Humanity’s mission.


The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $20/hr. to $23/hr.
