About the role:

Join Takeda as a US Marketing Director, Polycythemia Vera (PV) where you will be responsible for development and execution of brand strategy for launching a new asset into the Polycythemia Vera market in collaboration with the cross-functional core team. As part of the Hematology team, you will report to the Senior Director, Strategy & Business Partnerships - Hematology. This is a hybrid role based in Cambridge, MA.

How you will contribute:

Conduct market analysis, identify unmet needs, develop target profile, market potential, competitive landscape and commercial risks of brand growth opportunities, market and brand dynamics

Develop and execute market preparation plans and create early brand plans with cross-functional partners

In collaboration with A&I, design, scope and execute insights generation plans to collect the required US payer, provider and patient insights to inform asset strategies. Including: market analytics deep dives, segmentation, patient journeys, experience journeys, etc.

Define and manage launch strategies for HCP and patients and set appropriate launch KPIs for all audiences

Development and management of relationships with key therapeutic area Alliances

Manage Strategic Project Spend with any external vendors

Create robust value propositions for payers and health systems, partnering closely with medical affairs, HEOR and market access

Maintain in-depth knowledge of pipeline assets, staying informed about both scientific and commercial developments in the space, frequently interacting with both internal and external thought and opinion leaders

Strong business acumen with the ability to use knowledge of the industry and marketplace to formulate strategies that identify long-term benefits for customers and evaluate decisions by considering the interests of the entire organization.

Ensure that talent pipelines are proactively managed to ensure Takeda’s leadership needs for the future.

Collaborate across disciplines to align sales execution to product strategies.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Advanced degree preferred.

12+ years’ experience with increasing responsibilities in sales, marketing or related function in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

7+ years of experience of pharmaceutical marketing experience

Strong vendor management experience

Strong marketing acumen: product/extension launches, segmentation / targeting

Launch/pre-launch experience is required, preferably in rare diseases

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Periodic travel required (up to 20%)

U.S. Base Salary Range:

169,400.00 - 266,200.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
