About the role
As a Payroll Manager, you will manage daily operational functions of payroll department and multiple payroll specialists. We will count on you to ensure all biweekly and semimonthly US payrolls are processed accurately and timely in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Along the way, you will get to:
Be responsible for the administration of in-house end-to-end US biweekly and semimonthly payroll cycles involves overseeing the entire payroll process for employees in the United States on a biweekly and semimonthly basis. Oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing, including calculating wages, preparing payroll reports, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Run routine audit reports to compare differences in critical fields between our multiple internal systems using VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables and other intermediate functions of Excel. Process highly sensitive bonuses and/or severance pay according to company policy and legal requirements Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure accurate and seamless payroll processes. Assist Legal and Human Resources in sensitive requests due to subpoenas or reporting. Create payroll-related reports for management and external stakeholders as required. What we’re looking for
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) strongly preferred. 5-8 years’ experience in heavy volume payroll department with strong understanding of US payroll laws and regulations. 3 years in a supervisory position. Experienced with US state and federal payroll laws/regulations. Experienced with a time and attendance module, payroll tax and garnishments.
