**About this role**
**About Us:** BlackRock US Private Capital ("USPC") is the team within BlackRock Global Direct Lending focused on providing innovative capital solutions to US middle market companies through directly originated investments that generate attractive risk-adjusted returns. USPC currently manages approximately $23bn across multiple investment vehicles, including private funds, separately managed accounts and a BDC.
**Position Overview:** We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Portfolio Company Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant operating and management experience at portfolio companies, with a proven track record of delivering substantial value creation and operational improvements through workouts and turnaround situations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Monitor the financial performance of existing portfolio companies and identify early signs of potential distress that may lead to capital structure restructuring.
+ Develop and implement strategies for workout and restructuring situations, including effectuating changes of control and establishing new governance and management structures.
+ Lead efforts to augment operations and management teams to maximize investment value.
+ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive operational improvements and value creation initiatives.
+ Provide strategic guidance and support to portfolio company management teams to enhance performance and achieve business objectives.
+ Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence to identify opportunities for operational enhancements and risk mitigation.
**Qualifications:**
+ 15+ years of relevant experience in corporate and financial restructuring advisory at an investment bank, consultant, or direct lender.
+ Extensive experience in operating and managing portfolio companies, with a strong track record of value creation and operational improvement.
+ Demonstrated ability to monitor financial performance and identify early signs of distress in portfolio companies.
+ Proven experience in workout and restructuring situations, including effectuating changes of control and establishing new governance structures.
+ Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to drive operational improvements and maximize investment value.
+ Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
For New York, NY and Los Angeles, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$300,000.00 - USD$350,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
