Meet the Team
The Cisco team for State, Local, and Education ("SLED") contract capture and strategy is dedicated to running Cisco’s approach on various large and strategic SLED contracts. Our team integrates strategic insights with effective pursuit decisions, aiming to drive Cisco sales growth and satisfy our customers and partners.
Your Impact
The role involves becoming the Capture Lead for SLED contracts, overseeing a strategic contract portfolio, and articulating Cisco’s strategy. You will handle Cisco's approach, engage partners, track strategies, and define wins for Cisco, the customer, and partners. This role is exciting as it offers the opportunity to influence Cisco's strategic growth and collaborate with various partners to achieve success.
Capture Lead Responsibilities
* Engage stakeholders to establish and deploy strategies around technical solutions, pricing, and partnering.
* Track and report on strategy advancement across opportunities.
* Define and deliver wins for Cisco, the customer, and partners.
Contract Portfolio Responsibilities
* Track, oversee, and report on the strategic contract portfolio across the SLED business.
* Identify contract timelines and articulate backups and alternatives.
* Understand competitive portfolios and partner approaches.
* Share opportunities internally and externally.
Strategy Oversight Responsibilities
* Identify and track necessary, preferred, and possible positions and objectives regarding SLED contracts.
* Support customers’ and Cisco’s broader priorities to develop ideal SLED contract strategies.
Pursuit Decisions Responsibilities
* Gather stakeholders and achieve consensus for contract opportunities.
* Identify relevant facts and impactful issues.
* Articulate the pros and cons of options.
* Provide reasoned opinions based on facts and Cisco strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
* 20+ years of experience with SLED contract portfolios including consortium contracts and both direct and indirect approaches.
* Proficient in established contract capture methods, such as those outlined by Shipley.
* 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of OEM and reseller approaches in the SLED IT/Networking sector.
* Familiarity with Industry and Cisco pricing and legal strategies.
* Consistent track record of winning and delivering growth.
