Role Overview The incumbent A&M Usage Rights Procurement Supervisor will be supporting the Senior Category Lead with the strategy definition and leading the execution leveraging scale for Europe in all the procurement management by running procurement activities and in synch with annual Sector, Global and Brand Production calendar to drive productivity and cost avoidance. Will work very close in collaboration with the Sector Producers to ensure a holistic approach to the Content category as well as best delivery of pre-negotiated conditions if relevant. Responsibilities Centralized Procurement Management: Develop and implement a centralized process for negotiating music and talent usage rights; Act as the primary point of contact for all usage rights negotiations across European markets and categories (with focus on existing campaigns), support PepsiCo Producers if required in negotiations for new campaigns been produced by them; Consolidate usage rights data and spending to maximize Pepsico’s scale and purchasing power. Strategic Negotiations: Lead negotiations with vendors, artists, and agencies to secure competitive terms for music and talent usage rights. – per annual Production calendars; Ensure compliance with contract terms, including buyouts, renewals, and rights extensions; Address emerging risks, including those related to AI-generated content and rights ownership incl. legal approvals. Risk Mitigation: Identify and manage legal and reputational risks associated with content usage, including potential infringements; Develop strategies to handle AI-related risks in content creation and rights management. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Brand Managers, Marketing Teams, and PEP Producers to align procurement strategies with business objectives; Provide in collaboration with Producers guidance and training to Brand Managers on best practices for usage rights management; Foster strong relationships with external suppliers, agencies, and artists. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure all contracts and agreements comply with local laws and PepsiCo's internal policies; Maintain an organized database of all rights agreements, including expirations and renewal timelines; Generate detailed reports on usage rights utilization, costs, and value-added savings. Content Reusability Initiatives: With cooperation with DAM team, drive initiatives to maximize asset reusability, extending the lifecycle of existing content to reduce additional costs; Provide strategic input on content production to minimize future buyout needs. Qualifications 3–5 years experience negotiating usage rights for music and talent is is required; Experience in procurement in the content production or media-related category is preferred; Familiarity with content production cycles and requirements for reusing assets across multiple markets; Experience in managing contracts, including buyouts, extensions, and renewals; Previous experience working with marketing, legal, and brand teams to align procurement strategies with business goals; Experience in managing risks related to intellectual property, copyrights, or licensing agreements; Strong influencing skills to align senior internal and external stakeholders with centralized processes; Deep understanding of procurement processes, specifically within the content production category (music, talent rights, etc.); Familiarity with copyright laws, intellectual property rights, and contracts related to music, talent, and digital content; Awareness of emerging risks, including AI-generated content and their implications for rights ownership; Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences; Ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including Brand Managers, Marketing, Legal, and external suppliers; Up-to-date knowledge of trends in content creation, AI advancements, and shifts in music/talent procurement practices; Awareness of competitive benchmarks and best practices in the industry; Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions to find actionable solutions, strategic thinking&and executional excellence; Results driven, dynamic, highly energetic individual, motivated to achieve success; Comfortable identifying, setting & delivering against stretch targets; Strong negotiation skills; Acumen to identify and grab opportunities, asked and unasked; Fluency in English; A self starter with the ability to work independently as well as being part of a team; Technology knowledge; Appetite for innovation.
