**Job Description Summary**
The USCAN Credit Analyst is responsible for underwriting new deals and may or may not continue to oversee the asset post-deal closure. Those who continue to oversee the asset are distinct from Portfolio Managers due to their involvement in the deal's origination. The analyst possesses knowledge of best practices and understands how their area integrates with others. They are also aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Drive business growth by managing the underwriting of new and complex commercial deals, jurisdictions, and business adjacencies within the product area/business.
+ Partner with cross-functional deal team members on the largest and most complex transactions.
+ Conduct deal due diligence, know your customer (KYC) processes, negotiation, approval, and documentation.
+ Utilize in-depth knowledge of the discipline and analytical thinking to execute policies and strategies. Possess basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
+ Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
+ Explain information and develop skills to bring team members to consensus on topics within the field. Convey performance expectations and handle sensitive issues.
+ Operate with some autonomy, subject to functional practices and precedents, or covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. Modify procedures and practices as long as end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness, etc.).
+ Use judgment to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Prioritize information for data analysis using technical experience and analytical thinking. Utilize multiple internal and limited external sources outside of the team to make decisions.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with 5+ years of underwriting experience.

+ Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
