Summary:
The USDA Business Development Officer, Sr. is responsible for marketing a full range of banking services to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Business Program loan eligible businesses with an emphasis on client contact, origination and analysis. Incumbents work directly with customers and market partners in providing more complex loans associated with SBA and other federal or state government loan guarantee programs as well as conventional solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Focuses on transactions in the USDA Business Program lending space offering both USDA Business & Industry loans as well as USDA REAP Loan options with typical amounts ranging from $4MM - $50MM.Develops networks and cultivates Centers of Influence to uncover opportunities to provide access to capital.Reviews financial statements and supporting documents and works closely with USDA and conventional credit partners to provide solutions to the client's loan needs.Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and offices to provide proper and fair solutions for the client's loan needs.Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree5+ years of Business/Commercial lending experiencePreferred Qualifications:
USDA loan originating experienceFamiliarity with Commercial loan underwriting systems.Strong Business Development and Networking skillsExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsMust have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor.Strong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to multi-taskPC and internet proficiency

$70,000.00 -$140,000.00 Annual SalaryThe compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.
