Tom Wood Volkswagen in Indianapolis, IN is searching for a dedicated and skilled Used Car Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, efficient individual with at least the basic automotive knowledge, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment.  

 

Responsibilities:  

Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance services quickly and efficientlyConduct vehicle inspections to identify necessary repairs or maintenanceEnsure proper documentation of all services performedMaintain a clean and organized work environmentFollow all safety protocols and proceduresProvide excellent customer service by communicating vehicle issues and repair recommendations clearlyStay updated on automotive technology and repair techniquesCollaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflowPerform minor repairs, such as replacing air filters, wiper blades, and light bulbsAdhere to company policies and standards for service quality and customer satisfactionParticipate in ongoing training and development programsOther responsibilities as needed 

Qualifications:    

2+ years of automotive repair experience (Volkswagen experience highly preferred).ASE certifications or equivalent manufacturer training preferred.Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use modern diagnostic tools and equipment. A team player with a commitment to customer satisfaction and high-quality workmanship.Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service  Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc. Required- Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
