Be a part of the exciting world of Digital Supply Chain (DSC)! The User Assistance (UA) team based out of Bangalore supports different areas and products of SAP Digital Supply Chain.

The User Assistance team supports development by creating a consistent end-to-end experience for our customers and users through state-of-the art UA deliverables.

The DSC User Assistance team is a frontrunner in areas such as Joule and the Meta Data Project. We have won numerous awards and recognitions within the SAP UA community.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

In SAP, Technical Writers are called User Assistance Developers, because that’s what you do – you assist the users of our software. 

In a nutshell, your job will be to understand how our software works and become familiar with different types of consumers of documentation, defined as SAP personas. Your task will then be to formulate complex technical information into user-friendly documentation.

You will report to a User Assistance Development Manager and will be assigned to a scrum team that will work on a new maintenance resource scheduling solution. 

You will be involved in planning, researching, and creating user assistance deliverables, such as terminology, UI texts, guides, multimedia, scripts, context-sensitive help, tutorials, and social media content.

After you have gained experience, we will encourage you to take on more responsibility and branch out into other projects relating to user assistance.

 

Your strength lies in conveying technical information in a clear and precise manner. This means that you have:

An eye for detail and a passion for delivering quality Proven experience in creating modern and easy-to-consume content You’re encouraged to submit samples along with your application, such as academic essays, blog posts, scripted videos, and so on. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken first-language level English A positive, open-minded, and collaborative personality with strong self-management skills Experience writing at an academic or professional level  The ability to deep dive into the first principles of technical subject matter

 

WHAT YOU BRING 

3-5 years of experience in technical writing and in developing other user assistance products for the software industry. B.Tech/B.E or a University degree preferably in Technical Communication, Media, IT, Business Studies or English. Experience in developing technical videos will be an advantage.  You have experience with technical writing tools and concepts such as DITA,  Ixiasoft, and Camtasia.
