DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Drive and facilitate design solutions from concept through to execution. Practice and promote centered design. Create user scenarios, user journey mapping, wireframes, UI designs, and prototypes throughout the full cycle of the product development process. Build relationships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as product, engineering, data and analytics, and editorial. Use quantitative data and qualitative feedback to inform design decisions. Deliver designs and specs ready for engineering. Contribute to the design library and lay the groundwork for a robust design system. Plan and conduct user research along with usability testing and provide insights into business decisions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Information Experience Design, Digital Design or related field of study plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as User Experience Design Lead, User Experience Designer, Product Designer, UX designer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Experience Design, Digital Design or related field of study plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or as User Experience Design Lead, User Experience Designer, Product Designer, UX designer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: digital product design; UX and UI design including designing and shipping consumer-facing products at scale; prototyping user flows and experiences using data to inform decisions; developing products in compliance with design appearance, usability, and accessibility standards; articulating the logic behind design decisions clearly in order to gain buy-in from others; utilizing Figma to create user interface designs and prototypes for desktop and mobile products, using components and variables; contributing to component-based design systems and their maintenance.
Job Location: 450 W 33rd St, New York, NY 10001. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Full-Time. Salary: $151,500 - $205,000 per year.
