User Experience Designer – Helsinki Finland

As a User Experience Designer, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team of stakeholders, to deliver compelling UX solutions while acknowledging limitations and trade-offs.

You will partner with user experience specialists, product managers, medical practitioners, and engineers worldwide, to solve complex problems with simple, intuitive, yet robust designs.

Deliver on product vision and strategy:

Continually deliver designs and solution, that supports product’s long term business strategy.Focus on the specific problems to be solved and consider holistic solutions that encompass the larger product ecosystem.Select and execute appropriate UX activities at each stage of the product life cycle, to guide the multi-disciplinary team to make informed decisions and trade-offs.Collaborate with cross-disciplinary partners and their approach, strategy, and processes.


Shipping design:

Design for the extremes and produce an array of divergent design solutions, informed by a wide variety of data sources.Produce a wide variety of design artifacts from Interaction Models to pixel-perfect designs to communicate design concepts effectively.Evaluate proposed design solutions against pre-determined quality and success criteria and articulate the rationale behind design decisions.Work closely with researchers to plan research activities, uncover unmet needs, and constantly validate that the design solutions meet all safety requirements


Executing within the medical environment constrains:

Lead the UCD activities for your project, according to our internal work instruction.Ensure all required Design documentation comply with the IEC 62366-1:2015 specification.


Collaborating to learn and grow:

Partner with design peers to understand and apply the long-term UX strategy and process, to ensure UX is always embedded in key stages of the overall development process.Actively engage with other designers to give and solicit feedback to continually ensure that the design solutions are smart and safe to use.Actively share feedback and comments on others' work to help them grow in their field.


Skills & Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent practical experience.Practical experience delivering great experience design as UX Designer, Interaction Designer, Information Architect or similar.Strong design skills; we currently use Figma.Experience and comfortable to work side-by-side, with Engineers and Product managers, to build intuitive experiences.Fluency in English language, both written and spoken.Ability to communicate well and present to a broad range of audiences.Experience working on complex, enterprise products and ecosystems, in regulated industries is an asset.Knowledge of agile software development methods is desired.Demonstrable will to solve problems, big and small, glamorous or not, for all kinds of users.Able to focus on mid-to long-term objectives, while managing short-term tactics and operational decisions.Understanding the importance of setting aside the time and space to learn and grow your design practice.
