Security Operations Center
This individual is responsible for providing continuous monitoring of the corporate and federal assets ensuring the integrity of the environment. The work of this group includes managing the various scanning tools, assessing and analyzing the data collected from those tools, as well as tracking and reporting on suspicious activity. This position is responsible for detecting intrusions and leading our response to any intrusion.
About the Team
The Security Operations Center has a global footprint within IBM and is responsible for monitoring 24x7 monitoring and incident response. As a part of this team, you will be working with other likeminded security professionals in order to secure and protect IBM Cloud against emerging cybersecurity threats.
**Your role and responsibilities**
The User Administrator oversees the user lifecycle since the provisioning of the account to the decommissioning of the same. The User Administrator will triage tickets and use tools such as Active Directory Users and Computers to create the user’s account, modify attributes, assign privileges and permissions based on established criteria and if necessary, disable the user account. The user administrator will also collaborate with IAM and AD teams to ensure the infrastructure is running and available to all the users.
**Required technical and professional expertise**
• At least 1 year of experience working in a Service Desk, or IT departments.
• Experience creating users, assigning permissions, revoking permissions, decommissioning users on AD, AAD, or any other system.
• Experience working with the lifecycle of user accounts, and privelege management.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts.
• English fluency is required for this role.
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
'- +2 years of experience working as a Service Desk Analyst, IT Analyst or User Administrator.
- Strong understanding of the user lifecycle in AD.
- Strong understanding of AD DS.
- Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID.
- Experience creating users and assigning permissions in UNIX/Linux environments.
- Relevant IT certifications such as Cisco IT Essentials, CCNA, OpenOffice are preferred but not required.
