The Strategic Intelligence Division is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable individual to fill the position of Program Coordinator for MITRE’s work program with the USGC sponsor. The successful applicant will define and lead MITRE’s work to produce significant mission impact for this important government sponsor.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator is an important position in MITRE’s Intelligence Center, representing MITRE in engagements and work program development actions with the government at multiple levels. The Coordinator works closely with Program Managers and Project Leaders to spot and pursue opportunities to bring MITRE technical capabilities and understanding of mission to address sponsor challenges.
Responsibilities include:
+ Identify, share, and execute sponsor-specific challenges, issues of concern, and potential additional work areas that can be addressed by MITRE
+ Work with the Program Managers to forecast, document, and justify future Sponsor wants and needs in an annual USGC strategy
+ Maintain detailed situational awareness of MITRE’s current and planned work in support of the sponsor
+ Partner with the Managing Director to develop a cohesive MITRE strategy to maximize mission impact while retaining technical excellence and program viability
+ Partner with the Managing Director to ensure MITRE is being used as effectively as possible, understanding and operating within the USGC sponsor’s ceiling allocation process
+ Proactively work with Division leadership team to position MITRE for success in staffing the work and delivering impact
+ Plan and carry out a regular tempo of sponsor engagements in support of Center and Division strategy and goals
+ Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the USGC sponsor including overall strategy, organization, leadership as well as component strategies, investments, and issues; provide informational updates to the Division and Center leadership teams of the work program, as required
+ Partner with project, task, and technical leads from across MITRE (MITRE National Security Sector, MITRE Labs and MITRE Public Sector, where appropriate - to refine the technical direction for MITRE’s USGCA work program and ensure that all relevant MITRE resources are brought to bear for the USGCA sponsor
Basic Qualifications:
+ Outstanding customer engagement and communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the sponsor organization, including the senior executive and technical leadership
+ Knowledge of the USGC sponsor mission and role in the IC
+ Strong leadership and networking skills to reach proactively across MITRE to identify relevant concepts and results to bring to the USGC program
+ Strong knowledge of the Intelligence Community including its culture and challenges; experience working at senior levels within multiple agencies
+ Ability to understand MITRE’s USGC work program in its entirety and to see and grow connections and synergies between its various elements to create increased value and impact
+ Demonstrated experience in intelligence, systems engineering, and information technology and the ability to serve as a trusted partner and knowledge source for senior and mid-career government staff
+ Experience with all aspects of project management
+ Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and complex environment, to engage with senior government professionals on complex technical and programmatic issues, and to manage the competing equities of various government stakeholders
+ An active TS/SCI with current polygraph
+ Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 10 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 7 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
+ This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ A Master’s Degree in systems engineering or a related technical field
+ Deep subject matter expertise and a comprehensive understanding of the USGC organization and its missions
+ A strong working knowledge of MITRE culture and techniques for work shaping
+ Previous project leadership experience on a large and complex project
