The Office of the Vice Provost for Research, U STudent StArtup AcceleratoR (USTAAR) Office has an exciting job opportunity for a highly motivated Program Coordinator to work at the University of Miami.
CORE JOB SUMMARY
The U STudent StArtup AcceleratoR (USTAAR) Program Coordinator coordinates day-to-day operations of the program and supports the Director in executing the program’s goals. This role provides administrative and logistical support as well as assists with the development, organization, production, and evaluation of the USTAAR program to achieve its mission, goals, and objectives. The USTAAR Program Coordinator demonstrates familiarity with University policies and procedures and ensures program compliance.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Acts as a liaison to program constituents. Assist with the preparation and/or delivery of program content. Facilitates collaboration between different schools, community agencies, and/or academic support units throughout the University. Coordinates the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data. Drafts comprehensive, statistical, and/or narrative program reports and evaluations, and monitors program effectiveness, making suggestions for revisions when appropriate. Coordinates the scheduling of program components. Drafts and initiates correspondence, develops agendas, maintains calendars, assists in accumulation of reference materials, and coordinates and attends committee meetings. Assists with the development and implementation of program marketing. Provides assistance and support for participants and/or program constituents in all administrative aspects of the program and maintains files and/or program data. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Any appropriate combination of relevant education/or work experience may be considered.

Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.Commitment to the University’s core values.Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).Department Specific Functions
Supports the USTAAR program team and awardees with day-to-day operations. Facilitates collaboration between the USTAAR program and the Schools throughout the University in support of the program’s goals. Creates and maintains comprehensive program documentation, plans and reports. Ensures all needed documentation is current and properly filed and stored. Assists in the scheduling and planning of programmatic activities, including meetings, recruitment efforts, trainings and workshops, and larger scale events such as USTAAR’s Demo Day. Acts as the point of contact and communicates program status to relevant stakeholders, including timeline changes and new programmatic information. Monitors program progress and effectiveness, addressing any issues that arise and making suggestions for revisions as necessary. Provides assistance and support to the USTAAR team and awardees in all administrative aspects including processing of reimbursements and purchasing requests, makes travel arrangements and reservations, drafts presentations, responds to routine inquiries, and follows-up, as necessary, etc. Assists with the development and implementation of program marketing. Maintains knowledgeable on University policies and procedures.
