We’re looking for a candidate who is….
Able to maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical systems, wastewater, HVAC and ammonia equipment, ovens, boilers, compressed air, plumbing and facility related equipmentAbility to read, interpret and apply knowledge to plant drawingsAble to perform preventative and corrective maintenance, documenting work in plant computerized maintenance system including following storeroom proceduresBe an active participant on the plant HAZMAT teamAbility to obtain ammonia operator certification through offsite training, understanding, and working with Ammonia systemsAble to maintain and repair equipment outdoors and in indoor areas with climate extremesAbility to follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), including OSHA 1910 electrical safety and arc flash requirementsAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to train and assist fellow employeesAble to maintain and repair various facilities equipment, doors, building, lights, etc.Possess strong communication skillsExpectations
Must complete the utility assessment test with an acceptable scoreMust be willing to complete required training in ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, combustion and electricalAbility to climb ladders and operate boom liftsMust be self-motivatedPossess attention to detailDemonstrate strong organizational skillsMust have basic computer skillsMust be willing to work in extreme hot and cold environmentsAbility to be flexible with shift and overtime related to covering down day activities as well as for coverage for outages on other teamsWilling to complete all required training as detailed on the current Utilities Qualification Card and Pay Level Definitions for the Scottsville Uncrustables FacilityPrevious experience in piping, mechanical, pumps, electrical, and welding preferredPhysical requirements of the job include the ability to:Lift and carry up to 50 poundsStand, sit, walk, enter confined spaces, push, pull, kneel, squat, and climbPerform repetitive actions, reach, and feelPHYSICAL DEMANDS
