Position Title: 

Production Associate

(Note: This is the full-time entry level position for new manufacturing associates)

 

Pay Rate:

$20.95/Hour + Shift Differential

 

Sign on Bonus: 

$500 after 90 Days,

$500 after 6 Months,

$500 after 1 Year and an additional bonus at 2 Years

 

Category/Shift:       

Hourly Full-Time/2nd Shift

 

-The plant operates 24/5

 

-Must be open to working both 2nd and 3rd shift

 

-Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods.

The Job You Will Perform:

Conducts operations in a manner that promotes safety.                                Follow all safety rules and procedures. Read factory work orders and corrugator schedules to learn customer specifications. Verify sheets to ensure that sheet sizes and score locations conform to customer specifications. Move sheets off the stacker conveyors on to the transfer cart and onto the converting or sheet conveyors. Identify sheets with chalk-written order numbers and/or load tags. Band units of sheets Removing, aiding, and identifying nonconforming materials (warp, loose, out-of-line, etc.) Maintain clean and organized work areas. Assists Operator and assistants to maintain the Corrugator operation. Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments needed. Identifies, troubleshoots, and corrects product defects caused by the machine. Able to perform adjustments during the machine run and maintain production throughout the run. Ensures all orders completed to specifications including “special instructions” if applicable. Assists in completing basic preventive maintenance requirements according to operation standards. Assists the operators in meeting production goals. Always complies with all IP’S Safety rules and Quality policies and protocols. Other duties as assigned by Managers and or Supervisors/shift Leader or Operator

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

Firsthand manufacturing/production work experience preferred. Corrugated industry experience preferred. Ability to identify quality defects and monitor the quality of production. The ability to work in a demanding environment with minimal supervision. The ability to accurately read a tape measure and use basic shop math. The ability to accurately perform tasks after explained and demonstrated, follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.  Punctuality, excellent work ethic, and a positive attitude
