Utility Engineer

Overview:

The ultimate mission of the hospitality Engineering team will be to ensure our guests’ satisfaction by exceeding their expectations. This position is primarily responsible for assisting with maintaining the building, and grounds. Must partner with housekeeping counterpart to ensure and meet room maintenance quotas. Need to be able to handle repetitive and detail work with ease.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance programCheck work orders and night report for any assignment to be completedPerform Preventive Maintenance work orders. For example: Service HVAC – clean, replace air filtersClean window insertsPerform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areasPerform guest requests as assignedAssist other engineering personnel as instructed by supervisorMaintain cleanliness and organization of the work areaMaintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of all tools. Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfacesEnsure security of any assigned keysAll other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

Clean and professional appearanceAbility to communicate clearly (Speaking and writing)Ability to utilize basic technology including a smartphone and a computerExperience in maintenance or building trades preferred
