POSITION STANDARDS Must be able to read par stock lists, menus and chemical labels. POSITION PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Anything listed here requires a pre-employment physical by Employee Health to determine if the employee is capable of meeting the requirements. Physical Activity: Frequently lifts objects of up to 50 pounds, i.e. dishes or food items. Upper Extremity: Must be able to work in warm and humid environment (sometimes exceeding 100°F) as well as walk-in coolers and freezers. Must be able to push/pull tray delivery trucks and food carts. Push/Pull/Lift/Carry: The position requires the employee to be standing or walking 80% of each day worked. PART TWO: FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

 

Position Objective Assists in maintaining a clean and sanitary work area and assists cooks as needed.

 

Performance Expectation Performs assigned cleaning duties. Daily duties include: -thoroughly sweep and mop kitchen floors Keeps storage areas neat and orderly. Stock shelves, rotating and dating inventory. Participates on the evening meal and clean up. Operates dish machine following the meal. Assists co-workers in a variety of duties, i.e. cleaning, food preparation, special functions.
