The incumbent will be proficient in operation, receiving, panel, pelleting, dispatch, feed scheduling and the food safety plan. This position has a target wage of $18.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available. In addition to hourly wages, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vison, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off. **Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities** + Able to serve in any position within the feed mill to provide support as needed and train new associates in receiving, panel, dispatch, feed scheduling and feed quality. + Assist the Feed Mill Manager to ensure feed mill conforms to FDA, USDA, AMS and Perdue requirements including CGMPs, BMPs, PVPs and the principles of animal food hygiene and animal food safety + Perform production related functions and support facility safety requirements and functions. + Must wear all required PPE as defined by the positions in the mill and abide by all safety policies. + Perform all Environmental checks which include: daily, weekly, and monthly. + Operate the street sweeper daily in Loadout area, and perimeter of Feed Mill + Perform daily disinfecting duties 2x a day which includes all door handles, breakroom tables/chairs, microwave, and lockers. Bulk Feed tractors once a day. **Minimum Education** MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (include any specialized or technical knowledge, certifications, credentials or licensing required for this position) **Utility Tech** + High School Diploma or GED and 2 or more years of experience in feed mill manufacturing. + Proficient in Microsoft Office to include excel, word and outlook. + Ability to perform basic math functions to create accurate reports and maintain inventory levels. **Experience Requirements** + Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word and Outlook. + Ability to perform basic math functions to create accurate reports and maintain inventory levels. **Experience Preferred** **Utility Tech** Experience in maintenance or mechanical functions. **Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements** **Utility Tech** + Position is exposed to environmental temperatures to include extreme cold, heat and humidity. + Position works in a dusty and odorous environment associated with feed mill manufacturing. + Must be able to navigate uneven terrain. + Must be able to climb steps and ladders. + Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs. + Must wear all personal protective equipment as required by safety programs. + Must be able to swing a sledgehammer to free hung up materials in bins. _Perdue Farms, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
