Our Lakeland, FL location is looking to hire a Utility Technician for the 2nd Shift!  This position is responsible for assisting mechanics in dismantling and reassemble of basic motors and cleans parts.  Acts as a floater through AC/DC Departments filling in as needed. 

 

Here's What You'll Do:

Assist Motor Technicians with the dismantling and reassembly of motors.Cleans and transport parts as needed.Provide general maintenance support in Utility Department.Assist mechanics/technicians and other departments in skilled and non-skilled duties as directed by shop management.Operate various pieces of equipment including a buffer, hand and air tools, sand blasting, forklifts and hoists.Follow established procedures/work instructions for assigned function. Handle materials in accordance with established procedures.Work in a timely manner to ensure customer needs are fulfilled and deadlines are met. Work at a pace that meets expected productivity goals.

Here's What You'll Need:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.One (1) year of hands-on mechanical experience preferred.Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple written and verbal instructions.Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job related training, operational, and safety procedures.Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making related to routine duties within set company standards.Ability to operate overhead cranes, fork lift trucks, and other equipment.Ability to wear respirator.
