Utility Technician Specialist

Responsible for maintaining the timely and efficient inbound and outbound flow of biomedical devices as well as general handling of the products. May be responsible for various duties including data entry, receiving, cleaning, packaging, shipment of outbound devices and other functions as directed by leadership. Technician must be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (mask, gloves, and gown) for protection against potentially infectious materials.

Utility Technicians must demonstrate boundaryless teamwork and assist in any function and/or role within the Biomed Center.

Work hours: 8-hour shift, Mon-Fri between the hours of 7am- 6pm

Total Base Pay Range: $16.38 – $27.30

Responsibilities:

Supports regulatory excellence.

Works closely with team members where teamwork, cooperation, and communication skills are crucial in a fast-paced environment.

Responsible for shipping, receiving , storing of devices, supplies and other equipment.

Validates receipts, ensuring accuracy and condition of devices and related items.

May be responsible for pick, pack and shipment of orders in a warehouse environment.

May require forklift certification.

Ensures areas are clean to provide a safe and secure workplace.

Flexible and willing to assist with Biomed Center demands.

Responsible for meeting individual and department productivity goals.

Minimum Requirement:

Typically requires 1+ years of related experience.

Additional Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

Prior work experience preferred in shipping / receiving.

Performs all job tasks at a high level of quality meeting or exceeding productivity expectations.

Maintains compliance with all applicable standards (SOPs and work instructions) in performing job duties.

Good decision-making skills.

Organized with strong time management and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize work.

Ability to remain flexible and respond to changing priorities while remaining focused on results.

Strong commitment to the McKesson i2Care and iLead principles.

Promotes a customer-patient centric culture.

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft office tools.

Ability to lift 50+lbs.
