Job Description **JOB FUNCTION/ PURPOSE** The Utility Worker is responsible for performing various general labor activities, including cleaning and maintenance, at the jobsite. **RESPONSIBILITIES** + Performs typical cleaning and custodial work, including interior/exterior plant equipment. + Performs minor maintenance and operates equipment related to greasing and oiling, rags, raking bar screen, skimming grease from tanks, etc. + Washes and maintains trucks. + Learns (trains) Operator level responsibilities. + Other duties as assigned. + Willing to work all shifts, including: weekends, holidays, evening and 24-hour emergency on call. **_Education/Experience_** : High School Diploma or GED. **_Licenses/Certifications_** : Valid Driver’s License and maintains insurable driving record. **_Technical_** : Ability to follow manual & operating instructions. Knowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures & safety practices. Ability to perform routine maintenance/repairs. Ability to work with required tools (including jack hammer, demolishing saw, etc.). Comfortable in and around water/raw sewage. **_Communication_** : Communicates clearly & professionally. Contributes to a positive internal & external customer experience. Willing to help others. Maintains composure in challenging situations. **_Problem Solving & Quality_** **:** Pays attention to detail. Identifies & solves problems. Escalates issues accordingly.
