This internship would entail at least 15 hours per week of remote work during standard business hours (M-F, 8am-5:30pm). The position will continue through the end of the fall semester and may be extended through the end of the Spring semester by mutual interest. Pay is $15 per hour. All U Communications department students, particularly those in the Science-Communications track, are invited to apply. Experience with photography, videography, and related editing software. **Responsibilities** * Produces a variety of public-facing multimedia content, including short narrative videos, b-roll, portrait photography, and basic graphic design. * Operates video production equipment for internal messaging, recorded lectures, etc. * Works alongside science writers to extend public reach of stories with multimedia content. * Organizes and maintains office multimedia database * Ensures that deadlines are met. * Other related duties as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications** **Preferences** Currently enrolled University of Utah (undergraduate or graduate) student in Communications, (student in the Science-Communications track a plus). Strong verbal and visual communication skills with a firm grasp of technological terms and ideas, with strong writing skills a plus. Ability to work both individually and in a team setting. Experience using Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premier editing software.
