Position Summary:
Under supervision, performs various clerical tasks to assist in the processing and renewal of policies for the Underwriting department.
 

Key Responsibilities:
Relying on limited experience and knowledge, the Aviation Underwriting Assistant II is
responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are varied in nature
and frequently non-routine.

Enter quote requests into policy management system and forward to Underwriting for follow-up and customer contact.

Enter bond policy data from web into policy management system.

Prepare bond policy paperwork to Underwriting for review and customer contact.

Review all returned signed documents and make necessary corrections within guidelines in the policy management system. Forward to Underwriter any signed document that requires Underwriting review or action.

Process all cancellation requests. Notify required parties of cancellation requests.

May also perform duties of the Underwriting Assistant I.

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of two years of relevant and progressive experience in area of specialization

Possess and have ability to apply basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures

Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy

Good organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
