Hourly base pay rate is $47.60 - $79.33/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

You’ll spearhead the creation of digital products and coordinate the efforts of other UX architects and researcher. In sync with business goals, you’ll devise interaction strategy, develop navigation and structure, design prototypes, organizes content and advocate for users' needs.

What You’ll Do  

You’ll be the primary point-of-contact/facilitator for UX on assigned projects. Your day-to-day could include creating prototypes for usability testing, examining web analytics and championing user needs and product usability while balancing business and technical constraints. Here are some more of your responsibilities:

Developing a deep understanding of target clients and their business needs.Collaborating with UX research, product management, UX content, business and engineering teams.Facilitating product design planning and tasks with the Product team.Leading the translation of business requirements into simple, highly usable and compelling interface layouts.Creating wireframes and interactive mock-ups (lo/high fidelity) and integrating personas/segmentations with related deliverables.Ensuring the familiarity of the overall user interface and that individual components can be extended and reused.Collaborating with engineering teams to determine data accessibility and understand technology constraints/advantages.Creating and supporting the information architecture of navigation, content, etc.Designing navigational schema based on user needs, content models and technical constraints.Articulating the rationale behind interface decisions and how to prioritize interface features.Assisting in the ongoing definition of Cox Automotive's evolving UX standards.

 

Who You Are  

An analytical problem-solver, you have proven expertise in user-centered design methods, techniques and principles. Your portfolio proves your experience to produce UX documentation like storyboards, user scenarios/tasks, user flows, wireframes and prototypes. Here’s what else you bring to the table:

 

Who You Are  

Whether working solo or collaboratively, you know how to balance big-picture thinking with a detail-oriented approach. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an interest in human behavior and the ability to work on multiple projects/business units simultaneously. You have the following:

 

Minimum: 

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. ; or 8 years’ experience in a related field Experience working with teams on large-scale, long-term projects.Experience in client services and negotiating business decisions.Experience with group facilitation.Experience designing for mobile devices, including responsive design.Expertise in user-centered design methods, techniques and principles.Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.Proficiency with Figma, Axure and Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of Pendo and Optimizely.The proven ability (portfolio required) to produce user experience documentation: storyboards, user scenarios/tasks, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, etc.The ability to arrange and conduct formal and informal usability tests.The ability to establish UX methodology, processes, estimates and deliverables.The ability to make intuitive leaps to appropriately hypothesize product design solutions.The ability to convincingly articulate ideas and rationale across the company, including the executive suite.The ability to deal with ambiguity.The ability to stay current on the latest trends and research in product design and web/mobile technologies.

Preferred:

The ability to develop network/system architecture diagrams.Experience with A/B experimentation.
