About the Role

We are seeking an imaginative, skillful, and versatile designer who in addition to having a substantive hands-on experience of designing for exceptional customer experience and has a good understanding of experience design for mobile apps.  A strong background in SaaS, AI, and machine learning products. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in defining design strategy and driving the development of innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customer 

Our team is building the next generation orchestration platform with hand on applications for a variety of users within Magna. We’re focused using rich data to bring efficiency to material handling workflows through several software, robotics and hardware solutions. This role will lead set design standards, lead strategy and partner with product managers across several products.   #LI-Hybrid

Your Responsibilities Advocate for the user experience in all discussions, ensuring that the user’s voice is heard and considered in product decisions.  Create a scalable our product design process - starting from early research and hypothesis, through defining requirements, creating user flows, wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes   Own UX- from beginning to end and ensure product/feature is built to spec and achieves project goals.  Elevate the visual design- Through the customer experience to drive higher engagement.  Phased Design Approach- from user research and exploratory prototypes to design reviews, delivery, and usability testing.  Collaborate and communicate- effectively within cross-functional teams across design, product, engineering, and management.  Present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders and Magna executives, effectively communicating design rationale and decisions.  Who we are looking for 8+ years of design experience  Knowledge of usability principles and techniques  Agile/Scrum development environments including design sprint cycles.  Has led a team of  varying skillsets designers  Strong understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.  Ability  to balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints.  Experience with prototyping tools and techniques to quickly iterate on design concepts.  Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps  Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity  Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards  Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature  Experience in designing for complex and data-driven applications  Experience with UX design of complex workflows  Your preferred qualifications Able to take ambiguous design problems and work with stakeholders and user research insights to craft design solutions grounded in customer needs and business goals  Understanding of design thinking and lean UX methodologies.  Experience with motion design and creating interactive prototypes.  Industrial Design experience and use case design.  Knowledge of front-end development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how design integrates with development.  What we offer
