As a UX Designer in Data Center Automation, you will be working with a team of fellow designers, product managers, and software engineers to build, test, launch, measure, and iterate on the UX that drives this mission forward. This work will support users inside AWS Data Centers by developing products that innovate on day-to-day work and optimize for minimal friction to drive incremental performance gains and reduce human error. This position requires a hands-on, innovative designer who can translate business needs into a customer-focused product.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate and work closely with other designers, research, product management, and engineering from design concept to design solution, setting UX guidelines and driving cross-team collaboration and sharing.
- Work in a start-up style environment, where iteration is encouraged and design acumen is demonstrated through design end-to-end product ownership.
- Simplify complex ideas and create intuitive experiences, using research and data to identify opportunities and inform decisions.
- Engage with different audiences and varying levels of the organization to drive solutions forward.
- Earn trust with key partners to develop a shared vision through excellent storytelling, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
