About the Team

At Nutanix, you'll be joining our dynamic UX Design Team, a diverse group of talented professionals spread across India, the US, and Germany. You will report to the Director of Design, who is dedicated to nurturing talent and empowering team members to excel. We embrace a hybrid work setup, requiring team members to be in the office 2–3 days a week. This flexible arrangement allows for collaboration and team bonding while also giving you the freedom to work from home. 

 

Your Role

Understand enterprise problems with medium to high complexity and create simple and elegant user experiences. Successfully present concepts to key stakeholders and articulate the rationale for design decisions. Build consensus/convergence within the design team, engineering, product management and other 
Stakeholders. Ability to design and execute research studies in the context of their design exercises. Ability to translate research insights into design solutions. Demonstrate the ability to execute on simultaneous design-related activities. Showcases knowledge of design processes and understanding of the engineering development processes. In the course of time, build a solid understanding of at least one product domain and develop a 
good reputation within the company in that domain. Ability to deliver advanced UX concepts, flows and wireframes.

 

What You Will Bring

Minimum Requirements

3+ years of user design experience for web applications with a bachelorʼs degree in design/ graphic design/ fine art/ computer science or related CS/design field.Passion for design, data visualization, telling customer stories and simplifying complex problems.Strong working knowledge of the latest wire-framing/ design and prototyping tools.Familiar with user research techniques and usability testing (in-person and remote), user research, contextual inquiry, interviews, qualitative design analysis, and design thinking.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely towards building consensus. 
 

Preferred Qualifications

Interest in designing for enterprise software.Knowledge / experience is designing data visualizations.Have working knowledge of accessibility guidelines and best practices.

How we work:

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
