Overview Job Purpose ICE Mortgage Technology is seeking an experienced UX Designer to create meaningful and engaging user interfaces to optimize user experience for a variety of enterprise software features for mortgage technology products. The UX Designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create design concepts, and develop high-fidelity mockups, wireframes, and prototypes for web and mobile applications. Core responsibilities will focus on designing user-friendly interfaces, evaluating user experiences, and translating business needs into functional features. Candidates are expected to provide a portfolio in addition to their resume. Responsibilities Collaborates with other teams to gather requirements, creates visualization concepts, high-fidelity mockups, and prototypes for clients Collaborates with back-end development, visual design, product management, and customers Designs behaviors and functionality for current and future software applications using design specifications Develops process flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize a workable UI Studies how users feel about a system, evaluate perceptions of: ease of use, value of the system, utility, efficiency in performing tasks, etc. May assist with new user interface testing and participate in usability reviews Translates user needs and business requirements into features and functionality for web/mobile experiences Performs other duties as required Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience Requires 5+ years of relevant UX design work experience and a strong professional portfolio Working experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Axure RP, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar Prototyping experience, with specific experience creating mockups and prototypes of complex software features Proficiency creating UX design artifacts as needed. Including flow diagrams, personas, journey maps Ability to collaborate with product management and development team members Previous experience leading and/or assisting with discovery sessions designed to elicit software design requirements Strong communication and presentation skills required Ability to work both independently and under the direction of more senior design staff Some proficiency in design research Knowledge of accessibility guidelines Preferred Masters degree in related field such as graphic design, industrial design, visual design, or Human Computer Interaction (HCI) Knowledge of CSS, HTML, and front-end development frameworks Experience designing and facilitating user research Experience working with and contributing to a design system Schedule This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
