The Role

As the Web team, we continuously enhance Lumen's digital presence by crafting optimized journeys and experiences for diverse audiences (campaigns, personas) and traffic sources (paid, owned, earned). Our goal is to boost .com engagement through personalized content, persona-based marketing, and SEO, all based on data. We also aim to elevate .com functionality by integrating next-gen AI solutions.

We are seeking an energetic and talented UX Designer to join our nimble, data-driven, and fully distributed internal Creative team. This individual will play a crucial role in creating an outstanding digital experience on Lumen.com by generating wireframes, prototyping, writing requirements, conducting user testing, analyzing data, and compiling relatable findings. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member who enhances our user experiences as we build new capabilities and work to communicate and share Lumen’s commitment as a technology leader.

This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities Design wireframes for Lumen.com with attention to KPIs, improved customer experience, scalable responsive design, and B2B best practices and patterns.Create interactive prototypes for user testingDefine and communicate interaction specifications for development team as new/updated components ariseLeverage user testing data alongside behavioral analytics to inform digital designsWork cross-functionally to drive elegant UX design & feasible customer solutions from early concept through final implementation.Adhere to and contribute to the broader Lumen.com design system, as well as using data to drive design decisions.Learn and utilize new applications relating to design, user testing, data analytics, and/or e-commerceAnalyze page performance and make recommendations for optimizationsInterest and ability to learn and utilize new applications relating to design, user testing, data analytics, and/or e-commerceFamiliarity with Adobe XD, Figma, user testing, Quantum Metric, Adobe Analytics and/or PowerPoint is a plus.What We Look For in a Candidate Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in design, human factors, or related field3+ year’s professional work experience in UX designProficiency with UX design software & project management tools, especially Adobe XD or Figma, WorkFront and UsertestingAbility to manage and balance multiple strategic priorities and projectsAbility to analyze data and determine recommendations based on findingsDemonstrated ability to gather input from a variety of stakeholders and effectively work with cross-functional teams to achieve resultsExcellent understanding of user experience design and research techniques, principles and best practices, with ability to effectively provide feedback to peers, copywriters and visual designersStrong verbal and written communications skills including the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate effectively with product team, creative team members and web operationsPassion for innovation and pushing/challenging the thinking of our team

Experience with design of B2B websites designed to drive sales-assisted lead generation and e-commerceExperience working in the technology industryUnderstanding of Adobe Experience Manager CMS and HTML and Analytics toolsCompensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

 

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$66,375 - $88,500 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$69,694 - $92,925 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$73,013 - $97,350 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
