What is The Role

Elastic is seeking a versatile UX Designer to join the team that designs and builds our flagship website, Elastic.co. This role will focus on creating engaging user experiences that communicate Elastic's value proposition and guide users through their journey. Working closely with product marketers, content strategists, and developers, you'll craft intuitive interfaces and experiences that serve both our business objectives and user needs.

What You Will Be Doing Create user-centered designs through wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups Collaborate with product marketing to understand business requirements and translate them into effective user experiences Work with content strategists to design templates and components that effectively present content Partner with developers to ensure high-quality implementation of designs Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions Contribute to and maintain our design system Create prototypes to test and validate interaction patterns Analyze user behavior data to inform design decisions What You Bring 3+ years of experience in UX design, preferably in technology companies Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process and outcomes Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, etc.) Experience with responsive web design and mobile-first approaches Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices Strong communication skills and ability to articulate design decisions Experience working with cross-functional teams Understanding of basic HTML/CSS principles Bonus Points Experience working on marketing or content-heavy websites Knowledge of SEO best practices and their impact on design Experience with design systems Background in SaaS or enterprise software Basic understanding of web analytics and A/B testing
