As a UX Engineering Pintern, you’ll work alongside current Pinployees on impactful and high-exposure projects. Throughout your internship, you’ll work within the design system team and help evolve the system to meet the needs of our users; Building reusable UI components, creating helpful automations, and developing useful tools that allow team’s at Pinterest to build faster. The design system team lives at the intersection of design and engineering and helps bridge the gap between the two disciplines across all of Pinterest. 

We offer a 12-week summer internship program in San Francisco.

What you’ll do:

Take ownership over the completion and quality of your tasks and project while incorporating guidance from your mentor, manager, and peers Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end to help build the future of Pinterest Deliver code that is well-documented, tested, and operable Bridge design and engineering teams  Communicate new ideas and opinions with candor as you grow both professionally and personally through learning and development opportunities

What we’re looking for:

This position requires current enrollment in a school or education program in which the individual is working towards a Master's in statistics, psychology, sociology, applied sciences, computer science or related field Obtain Master’s in statistics, psychology, sociology, applied sciences, computer science or related field by June 2027 Previous Software Engineering internships Passion for solving user-experience problems / upleveling the quality of the Pinner experience  Proficiency in a dynamic programming language such as JavaScript, CSS, C++, HTML, Python, Java, Go–we use a variety of programming languages and tools Ability to continually learn from your experiences

We offer 2 internship start dates:

May 20, 2025 - August 9, 2025 June 17, 2025 - September 6, 2025  

In-Office Requirement:

We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection. This role may require you to be located near an office for in-person collaboration, and therefore may need to be located a commutable distance from one of our San Francisco office.

The salary for this position is $11,000 monthly.
