UX Researcher
At EY tech.collective, you will be enabling teams build tax and law software products for increased efficiency, quality, and joy. To do this with the highest of degree of accuracy and efficiency, smooth processes and great software plays a key role.
We operate across the Nordics (DK, FI, SE, NO) with a small, flat, and informal organisation of ~30 engineers, designers, researchers, and PMs. In a distributed setup across all countries where we work from home and offices depending on preferences and needs. Tax? Yes, tax filings and tax law are the domains we design and build for, so having an interest in those areas would be good. Actual experience and domain knowledge is of course a plus, but certainly not a requirement.
Above all, we value working with good all-round people. People who are both highly specialised but are capable collaborating across disciplines.
The opportunity
We are looking for a User Experience Researcher who will be a strategic partner to product teams in building digital experiences. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products and services align with users’ mental models and needs. Your work will support product and design decision-making, enable teams to ideate on innovative solutions, mitigate business risks and drive improvements that boost both user satisfaction and business metrics. As a UX Researcher in the tech.collective, you will own your entire research process from recruitment, to planning, executing, analysis and reporting.
Key responsibilities
• Work across several product teams to execute comprehensive research projects. This includes scoping, planning, executing research using the appropriate methods, synthesising the findings and socialising the research insights in a clear, concise manner to key stakeholders.
• Collaborating closely with other researchers, designers and cross-functional partners. This includes being a trusted strategic partner and point of contact for research and research-related activities to members of the design team, cross functional partners. This also includes engaging in research and design feedback sessions and providing perspectives rooted in user insights.
• Shaping the future of UX Research at tech.collective by contributing to a supportive and innovative culture in which UX Researchers can do the highest quality work.
• Highlighting and promoting the importance and value of research within the organization.
Qualifications for success
• 2-3 years of experience as a UX researcher.
• A bachelor's or Master's degree in a field such as human-computer interaction, psychology or a related field.
• You have good knowledge and experience with qualitative research in execution and application.
• You have an understanding and appreciation for the accurate application of data and metrics in UX Research.
• You have the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and colleagues in design, product management and engineering, and act as a strategic partner in product decisions.
• You are naturally curious and proactive in your approach to gaining information, providing solutions and recommendations, and you are driven by continuously moving things forward.
