JOB DESCRIPTION

The Power Efficiency Solutions digital team is seeking a Junior UX Designer to join our team and play a key role in shaping the user experience for our customers.You’ll collaborate on creating wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes that improve our digital platforms. You’ll also assist with user research, such as competitor analysis and usability testing, and contribute to our evolving design system. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative environment while driving our user experience forward. This role will report to the UX design lead.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes that address specific user requirements or solve known customer problems.Collaborate closely with design, marketing, product, and engineering teams to understand requirements and iterate on designs.Assist in conducting basic user research, including competitor analysis, usability testing, and user interviews, under guidanceAssist in organizing and preparing assets for development handoff, making sure that designs are developer ready.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree and/or 2 years of experience with UX/UI design.Proficient in Figma, with experience in using features like auto-layout, components, and prototyping.Basic understanding of design systems, with the ability to use and contribute to existing components, and a willingness to learn how to maintain design consistency.Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale and incorporate feedback into your work.Comfortable with iterative design processes and the ability to adapt to changing requirements.A strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow, with an openness to feedback and guidance.A design portfolio showcasing projects that demonstrate a solid grasp of UX/UI design fundamentals, including problem-solving and design thinking processes.
