The Virginia Association of Broadcasters (VAB) internship at WRIC will run from approximately Monday, June 2, 2025, through Friday, July 25, 2025.  You can only apply for this internship if you were referred through the VAB.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following rotation duties

Researching, pitching and reporting storiesHelping find and process video from social media and other sourcesShooting and editing video and photographsWriting scriptsProducing television showsProducing digital channelsOther assignments as deemed necessary by management

Qualifications and requirements

Must be a college student, junior or above, pursuing a degree at an accredited institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progressCumulative GPA of 3.0 or aboveIdeal academic background include journalism, broadcast journalism, digital/new media studies, communications, marketing, public relations, production, English and social mediaMust be 18 years of age or olderMust have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without a Visa or sponsorship

The student shall
