Vacation Relief Operator
**Job Description** Perform proficiently in different aspect of multiple plant duties. Provide relief in jobs and learn duties of production, packaging, sanitation, and other roles as assigned. Perform a variety of line duties within the manufacturing environment to include highly skilled / senior-level processing, machine operator, and/or break relief operator jobs (e.g., Receiver, Blend/Filler/CIP/Retort/ Evaporator/Pasteurizer operators). This may include troubleshooting and performing minor maintenance repairs · Review process data and equipment performance data to improve quality, throughput, and troubleshoot · Assist with training efforts in functional area as needed · Review charts, screens, quality check sheets, and specifications that are in both hard copy and electronic format · Engage in problem solving to assist in improving production, safety, quality, and yields · Ensure operational efficiencies by positioning work, setting up of jobs, adjusting and operating equipment for proper functions and manufacturing of product · Perform quality monitoring of statistical information and report on variations to supervisor and lab · Inspect and identify any issues and perform preventative maintenance when needed · Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately · Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues · Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements · The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
