We have an opportunity for Verification and\nValidation Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Brno. Join a team that designs,\ndevelops and integrates highly complex software applications within Honeywell\nAerospace. You will be an active and integral member dedicated team that\ncooperates on “Black box in the sky”.

Honeywell has been an industry leader in\ndata recorders for the commercial aviation industry – also known on aircraft as\n“black boxes.” These critical devices passively collect large amounts of\ninformation from multiple sources during each flight – cockpit voice (CV) data,\nor communication between pilots in the cockpit as well as between pilots and\nair traffic controllers, and flight data (FD), or how the aircraft systems\nperform in-flight. Flight recorders ensure that, in the event of an accident,\ninvestigators can use the data to learn more about the chain of events leading\nup to it.

As a member of the Flight Recorders\nengineering team, you will participate in the development of new generation of\nflight recorders (black boxes). Your main responsibilities will be split\nbetween software testing and development, collecting requirements from\nstakeholders, addressing and coordinating customer issues resolution.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office\n+ 2 days work from home model.

Key responsibilitiesValidation and Verification of software products within the Flight Recorders portfolioDevelopment of automated V&V framework, performing manual and automated tests based on requirements, verifying bug fixes, test results analysisContribute to product engineering documentationRequirements management – interpretation, provide valuable feedbackCommunicate findings/issues/expectations with stakeholders/team and actively contribute to their timely resolution

Key skills and qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in software engineering. Advanced degree preferred and continuous learning expected.Knowledge of testing tools and procedures, source control (GIT, SVN…)Experience with programming in Python, automated UI test frameworks (Robot Framework, Bitbucket, Selenium, Android automation tools…)Ability to communicate in English language – B2 to C1
