Job Description An employer is seeking a Validation Security Engineer to join their team in Spring, TX. He or she will be joining a Consumer Security team that helps create cybersecurity compliance requirements for the organization alongside requirements for 3rd party vendors. The Security Engineer will work closely with these 3rd party vendors to make sure they have the security protocols in place to protect both the vendor, the customer and the organization internally. In addition, he or she will help to replicate potential risks or exposures to help resolve for future needs. Lastly, this person will also have to make sure the customer experience make sense in regards to these 3rd party vendors - even if it's not just in the cyber compliance space. He or she will communicate closely between 3rd party vendors and internal stakeholders to help translate results/findings in a way that the business can understand impact. This role is onsite 2 days a week in Spring, TX and the pay ranges from $52 - $63/hr. Skills and Requirements 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity validation 5+ years total of working experience Software development experience in C/C++, C# In-depth knowledge of security vulnerabilities for Windows applications and websites (e.g. OWASP Top 10, Common Weakness Enumeration, Common Vulnerability Enumeration) Certification is any of the following: CEH, OSCP, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, MSCE: Security, CCNA Knowledge of reverse engineering skills specifically ASLR/DEP Evaluation, Finding credentials in binaries, Digital cert evaluation, Hashing mechanism evaluation, Vulnerability scans, Banned functions/API scan Knowledge of Secure Lifecycle Development processes Knowledge of penetration testing techniques to find the following: Remote code execution, Buffer overflow, Privilege escalation, Database injection, Exploiting payloads, Cross-site scripting, Path injection Ability to read X86 assembly for reverse engineering null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
