To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Validation Testing Engineer located in US Michigan Coopersville.
Reporting to the Automation Manager the Validation Testing Engineer, will be accountable for designing, defining, and implementing system requirements for complex customer systems/products and/or preparing studies and researching existing systems prior to the transition to manufacturing for new product introduction.
What a typical day looks like:
Defines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system.
Identifies, explores, and resolves program deficiencies.
Provides complex software development and consultation to prospective users.
Tracks customer/project issues and drives resolution.
Serves as main Project Development Engineer.
Develops and maintains project schedule.
Prepares and maintains Engineering NRE estimates.
Interfaces with and guides customer product development calls and meetings.
Acknowledges customer inquiries concerning complex system software and applications.
Accountable for systems level development and testing requirements involving finalizing approved Vendor Lists and design of components which are unavailable.
Provides complex technical assistance for sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance of company products to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications.
Provides technical direction, as required, for the implementation of industry regulations and best practices as they apply to product/systems.
Develops product specifications where applicable.
Develops and/or approves test plans and test reports.
Defines pre-production system build logistics and deployment schedules.
Develops engineering release documentation.
Builds mini applications, as required, based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of an application, often requiring rapid prototyping.
Ensures ISO process conformance
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
2 – 5 years of experience in a similar position
Experience in Creating Test stands or Programming test stands.
Excellent Microsoft office skills, in particular Excel – (MACROS, ADVANCE)
Statistical knowledge of Gage R7R reports
Knowledge or experience with Statistical analysis including but not limited to Correlation studies
Experience Writing technical reports
Manufacturing previous experience
