This job opportunity is for a motivated individual to join Wolfspeed’s Power Module Test and Qualification group to support electrical and thermal validation testing of our products, as well as equipment operation and maintenance. This position will provide the opportunity for hands on laboratory projects alongside data post-processing and failure mode analysis with engineers..
The Day-to-Day:
Operate a wide variety of electrical test and measurement equipment including multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, RLC meters, switch matrices, parametric analyzers, thermal impedance analyzers, and custom test benches.Analyze and interpret electrical schematics to support test bench operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.Must be excited to learn new skills if not already experienced in areas such as PCB layout, parametric analysis, and data analysisAssist engineering in design and development of new test equipment.Overtime and some flexible scheduling are required to meet the demands of this positionThis Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
Working knowledge and understanding of electrical safetyWorking knowledge and understanding of basic electronic theorySkilled and proficient with hands-on laboratory testingComfortable with computer-aided test setupsDetail oriented and able to work on multiple projects concurrentlyAble to organize data using software (e.g., Excel, JMP etc.)Neat / organized / can execute and thoroughly document test plansAble to logically troubleshoot electronic assemblies down to the component/interconnect levelAble to work effectively with minimal supervisionGood communication skills required, both written and oralAble to follow detailed instructionsAlways required to be a team playerMust be able to work in a lab environment, stand and walk for most of a shift, posses good hand dexterity, as well as lift up to 10 lbs frequentlyThis role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
