Job Posting: Valuation & Portfolio Accounting Senior Associate

Location: (Boston, Massachusetts)

Compensation: 100k-135K plus bonus

Position Overview: Our client, a leading investment firm, is seeking a Valuation & Portfolio Accounting Senior Associate to manage valuation, accounting, and reporting across various asset classes, including public equity, private equity, debt, real estate, and special purpose vehicles. Responsibilities include reconciling fund administrator records, maintaining internal books, ensuring the accuracy of GAAP and U.S. tax accounting entries, and producing investor reports and regulatory filings. The role also involves supporting private investment valuations, conducting appraisal reviews, and collaborating with Operations teams to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.

Desired Experience:

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in accounting, auditing, or valuing investment portfolios, with a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, tax treatments, and fair value principles. Experience with complex investment portfolios is a plus, as is knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP. Excel proficiency is required, and familiarity with programming or macros is a bonus. Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work both independently and as part of a team.

This position offers a hybrid work environment, with flexibility to work from home up to two days per week, depending on business needs.
