Value Stream Manager (Manager I, Operations Business Unit)
Position Summary
The Value Stream Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire value stream of a product family, from raw materials to finished goods. This role focuses on optimizing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met. The Value Stream Manager leads cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and achieve strategic business objectives.
Salary Range: $80,000 – $100,000
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the business unit, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Track and report business results and perform cost-benefit analyses.
Monitor production KPIs and implement strategies to improve performance.
Manage budgets and financial planning for the business unit.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and achieve business objectives.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Lead and mentor team members, fostering a positive work environment
Direct and coordinate manufacturing operations and schedules based on sales requirements and value stream capacity.
Lead and supervise manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain planning teams.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Develop and execute strategic manufacturing plans to achieve company objectives.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Conduct fact-based analysis of current state processes and develop future state maps.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.

Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers
Experience and Skill Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. (preferred)
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain management. (Minimum of 5 years of experience w/ 2-3 years in a leadership role)
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently to constantly.
Must be able to constantly stand or sit for long periods of time as necessary in the work area.
